As an accomplished businesswoman and minister, the Founder & CEO of Business Women Inspirational Network (BWIN),

Mary Pitts recognized several years ago the challenges of women starting and operating a business.  There was also a void in the lack of women organizations that understood that the traditional women’s networking methods did not take into account the emotional and spiritual support component necessary for success.

The goal of BWIN is to play a critical part in the community and economic development of Central Florida. It is widely known that small businesses make up the majority of firms that employ people in the neighborhoods in which they do business. BWIN recognizes that a healthy, safe community is a win-win situation in which both business owners and community resident thrive.

BWIN is currently conducting strategic planning to identify specific programs that will address the needs of the respective businesses and community at large. Some of the programs under study are: Professional development for the small business owner

• Life skills coaching for the executive
• Advocacy for women’s health issues
• Counseling for women business owners
• Community and public relations
• Workshops and seminars that focus on both the business and spiritual needs of women in business
